MarkupCraft — drawing review and markup

Open a plan set

  • Choose Open or drop PDFs here: one file or a whole set. They open on this computer; nothing is uploaded.
  • Pick a tool and draw on the sheet. Clouds, callouts, stamps and measurements all keep an author, a date and a status.
  • Wheel to zoom; drag with the wheel or hold Space to pan. Page Up/Page Down move between sheets.
  • Save downloads a marked-up copy. The markups are real PDF annotations, so any PDF viewer shows them.

MarkupCraft settings

These settings are only for MarkupCraft, and you can change them only here, in the app.

Your name

Goes on every markup and reply you make, and into the PDFs you save. Reset leaves your name as it is.

New markups

For new pens, lines, arrows, shapes, clouds, callouts and text. Highlighters, notes, stamps and measurements keep their own colors. A color you pick for one tool in its panel wins over this.

Paste

At the pointer: with the pointer on the sheet, Ctrl+V puts the copy where it points. Beside the copy: pastes a little down and to the right of the original. The Paste button and Ctrl+Shift+V (paste in place) work the same either way.

Measurements

"Show lengths in" is what the sheet scale dialog offers first when you calibrate from two points; sheets you already calibrated keep their unit. The position on the sheet is the paper position shown at the bottom left.

Theme

The theme applies to every CadCraft app and the site.

Screen

Browsers allow full screen only after a click or key press, so it starts on your first click in the drawing.

Toolbar

Arrange: drag tools within their group, and drag a group by its name.

Panels

You can also drag a panel's inner edge. Double-click the edge to put it back.

Panels

Drag a panel by its name to dock it left, right or at the bottom, or drop it over the drawing to float it. A new window can go on your other screen. Reset layout puts every panel back where it started.
