Your license
Your license, in your own vault
MeCentral keeps documents in a vault that belongs to you. If you turn it on, CadCraft files your license certificate there, so you have a copy you can open, keep and show your accounts team, whatever happens to your CadCraft account.
What gets filed
- A certificate for each license you hold: Community, an owned license, or a seat on a Team Cloud Plan.
- Each certificate is a PDF. It names the license, what it covers and who issued it, and it does not change afterwards.
- It is filed for every account, free Community included. It is part of how CadCraft runs licenses, so there is no switch to turn it off.
Who holds the license
CadCraft holds the license and you hold the certificate. That is how a team works: the workspace owns its seats, hands one to a person by email, and can take it back. The certificate is your record that the license was issued to you. It does not make the seat yours, and a seat that is taken back stops being in force even though the certificate stays in your vault.
How you look at it
The first time, MeCentral emails an invitation to the address on your CadCraft account. Open it to claim the vault. After that, your certificates are there whenever you sign in to MeCentral, and your account page shows what has been filed, lets you view each certificate and links to the vault.
Who sees it
The vault is free, and it belongs to you. CadCraft sends documents to it and does not read them back. MeCentral is a separate company that holds the vault for you. Only you can delete what is in your vault. The privacy notice has the details.
Receipts
The certificate records the license. Your payment receipt comes from Stripe, as before.
