CadCraft
2D drafting & documentation
Command-line drafting with layers, blocks, dimensions and layouts that plot. Opens and saves DWG and DXF.
Quantity takeoff & estimating Planned
Measure the drawings. Count the work. Price the job.
TakeoffCraft is for the estimator with a plan set and a deadline. Calibrate each sheet once, then measure lengths, areas and counts straight off the drawings. Assemblies turn one measurement into everything it means: a wall run becomes studs, board, insulation and tape. Quantities stay linked to the marks on the drawing, so you can click a number and see where it came from, and cost columns turn the takeoff into a price.
If you take off quantities in Bluebeam or PlanSwift, TakeoffCraft will feel familiar.
Planned for macOSWindowsLinuxWeb
Set the scale once per sheet, or read it from the title block, and check it against a known dimension.
Trace wall runs, flood rooms for area and click to count fixtures, each on its own takeoff item.
One wall type measured once becomes studs, board, insulation and tape, at the quantities you set per foot.
Every quantity points back to the marks that made it. Click a total and the sheet shows you where it came from.
Add unit costs, labor and waste factors beside the quantities and see the job total move as you measure.
Send the takeoff to CSV or XLSX for the estimate, the bid form or your accounting system.
Drawn for this page to show what TakeoffCraft is being built to do. They are concept drawings, not screenshots: there is no software to screenshot yet.
Rooms flooded with area hatches, door and fixture counts marked, and the quantities table beside the plan.
One measured wall run broken out into studs, board, insulation and tape.
A calibration line drawn along a dimensioned wall, reading 24'-0" at 1/4" = 1'-0".
Open formats in and out, so a drawing made in TakeoffCraft never needs us to open it.
