Steel & rebar detailing Planned
Model it once. Every shop drawing follows.
DetailCraft is a detailing model for the people who turn a structural design into something a fabricator can cut, drill and bend. Place beams, columns and braces, add bolted and welded connections, and lay out rebar with its bends and laps. Shop drawings, assembly drawings and bending schedules come out of the model, NC files go to the machines, and IFC keeps the model in step with BimCraft.
If you detail steel or rebar in Tekla, DetailCraft will feel familiar.
Planned for macOSWindowsLinux
Beams, columns, braces and plates from standard profile catalogs, placed on grids and levels.
Bolted and welded connections with their plates, holes and weld symbols, copied to every similar joint.
Bars, sets and meshes placed in concrete with bend shapes, laps and cover checked as you go.
Bar marks, shapes, lengths and counts scheduled straight from the model, ready for the bending shop.
Shop drawings, assembly drawings and general arrangements generated from the model and updated when it changes.
DSTV NC files for cutting and drilling machines, and IFC exchange with BimCraft and the rest of the team.
Drawn for this page to show what DetailCraft is being built to do. They are concept drawings, not screenshots: there is no software to screenshot yet.
A beam-to-column moment connection with end plate, bolts and fillet welds called out.
One beam with its holes, cuts and part marks dimensioned for the fabricator.
Bottom mat and starter bars in a pad footing, with bar marks keyed to the bending schedule.
Open formats in and out, so a drawing made in DetailCraft never needs us to open it.
