Parametric parts & assemblies Planned

PartCraft

Sketch, constrain, extrude. Then build the assembly.

PartCraft is a parametric modeler for machined and fabricated parts. Sketch with geometric and dimensional constraints, build features such as extrude, revolve, fillet, shell and pattern, and edit the history when the design changes. Put parts together into assemblies with joints, then make drawings with views, dimensions and GD&T. STEP goes in and out, so suppliers can use what you send them.

If you design parts in SolidWorks, PartCraft will feel familiar.

What's inside

  • Constrained sketches

Sketches that know what is parallel, tangent and equal, with driving dimensions you can change later.

  • Feature history

Extrude, revolve, fillet, chamfer, shell, hole and pattern, kept in a history tree you can reorder and edit.

  • Assemblies with joints

Rigid, revolute and slider joints that position parts and let you check the motion.

  • Drawings from parts

Orthographic, section and detail views generated from the model and updated when it changes.

  • GD&T

Datums, feature control frames and surface finish symbols, to the standard your shop works to.

  • STEP in and out

Exchange solid models with suppliers and other CAD tools through STEP AP214 and AP242.

Concept drawings

Drawn for this page to show what PartCraft is being built to do. They are concept drawings, not screenshots: there is no software to screenshot yet.
