CadCraft 0.7 impact map

What is left from 0.6 and what comes next: every item that was not finished when 0.6 shipped moved here with its status, plus new requests. 0.6 itself keeps what was built.

Every fix and feature

Grouped by track. App chips carry each app’s layer colour; Studio is in ink. "Waits on" names what has to happen first; the small lines under it say who asked and where the item is written up.

FeatureLC.1 Link to LC.1 Site concept

Covers Forma Site Design and InfraWorks. Masses on a real site from CivilCraft’s GIS and terrain; sun hours and shadows, facade daylight, zoning envelope, street view; masses handed to BimCraft. Spike first. Owner 2026-10-23: go. The site-concept spike (docs/spikes/LC.1_site-concept.md) ran the slice end to end; build in 0.7: masses on a parcel, zoning envelope, sun hours and shadows, street view, hand-over to BimCraft with its georeference. Facade daylight is not included. Session massing (W3.21).

FeatureLC.6 Link to LC.6 Scanned drawings

Covers Raster Design. Insert, scale, deskew and clean a scanned sheet, erase raster areas, snap to raster lines; a lines-and-arcs auto trace with no learning. Owner 2026-10-23: yes to the auto trace (lines and arcs, classic image processing, no learning, nothing sent anywhere). Planned in session trace (W3.15).

Recommended for 0.6, owner to choose 1
FeaturePT-GPU Link to PT-GPU WebGPU path tracer

The WebGL path tracer is deprecated upstream; moving needs WebGPU everywhere we run plus three’s WebGPU build.

FeatureBIM-MLWALL Link to BIM-MLWALL Walls that run through several levels

People on Discord can't find multi-level walls in BimCraft. Today a wall's top is either "Up to the level above" or a fixed height. A fixed height can be taller than one floor, but the upper levels' plans don't show the wall (each plan draws only its own level's walls, model-plan.js planCut skips other storeys), rooms up there don't close against it, and it doesn't follow level height changes. Build: (1) wall Top = any level above (Level 3, Roof…) + offset, in the wall panel and the Draw bar (CadCraft_Wall TopLevel already takes any level's GlobalId; wallHeight already measures to it); (2) every plan the wall passes through shows it cut, and rooms on those levels close against it; (3) doors and windows can be placed in the part of the wall on an upper level.

FixDWG-PLANS Link to DWG-PLANS BimCraft: tilted blocks, twisted viewports and blank viewports in DWG sheets

Found with a customer's Plans.dwg: blocks inserted with a tilted extrusion land in the right place, a twisted viewport is centred, an empty viewport shows as a dashed frame with a note, and a spinner shows while a sheet is prepared. Plan docs/0.7-PART9.md; log docs/0.7-sessions/workspace-layouts.md.

FixDWG-PLANS-TK Link to DWG-PLANS-TK TakeoffCraft: the same two DWG sheet bugs

TakeoffCraft's copy of dwg-compile.js still misplaces tilted blocks and twisted viewports (fixed in BimCraft as DWG-PLANS). Plan docs/0.7-PART9.md; log docs/0.7-sessions/workspace-layouts.md.

FixCAD-TWIST-SAVE Link to CAD-TWIST-SAVE CadCraft: check how a twisted viewport is saved

Seen while fixing Plans.dwg in BimCraft: confirm a twisted viewport saved by CadCraft reopens the same here and in the drafting programs. Plan docs/0.7-PART9.md; log docs/0.7-sessions/workspace-layouts.md.
