Site concept Covers Forma Site Design and InfraWorks. Masses on a real site from CivilCraft’s GIS and terrain; sun hours and shadows, facade daylight, zoning envelope, street view; masses handed to BimCraft. Spike first. Owner 2026-10-23: go. The site-concept spike (docs/spikes/LC.1_site-concept.md) ran the slice end to end; build in 0.7: masses on a parcel, zoning envelope, sun hours and shadows, street view, hand-over to BimCraft with its georeference. Facade daylight is not included. Session massing (W3.21). |

3D MEP in BimCraft The build after DF.26 if it is a go: ducts and pipes by size and system, fittings, equipment, IFC systems, clash with the structure. Discord CSV 2026-10-21: Asked again on Discord (3 mentions, #cadcraft Oct 21; #craft-apps Oct 19, 21): a Revit MEP alternative, an ArchiCAD-style MEP designer. Owner 2026-10-23: build in 0.7. DF.26 was a go and DF.29 built the first slice in 0.6; next slice: equipment with ports, runs connected to equipment, MEP-vs-structure clash sets, spools and spool sheets, add-on API 1.1. Session mep-07 (W3.16). Suggestions 2026-10-26: Asked again on /suggest (#1060, Oct 26): model buildings with piped services and HVAC ducting. Built in 0.7; see also MEP-REL. |

CAM: more machining Covers Inventor CAM, FeatureCAM, PowerMill and CAMplete. Contour, pocket, drill, 3D finishing, a tool library, material-removal simulation, post-processors; turning and inspection later. Discord CSV 2026-10-21: Asked again on Discord (3 mentions, #SolidCraft Oct 17; #cadcraft Oct 18): integrated toolpaths and post-processor files (.cps) so G-code fits each machine. PartCraft has CAM with Fanuc, GRBL and LinuxCNC posts built in; missing is a post you can edit yourself (Fusion .cps is Autodesk's JS dialect: read the idea, not the files). |

Auto-detect walls and rooms from a set of plans (PDF or scans) Bring in a set of plans (PDF or scanned drawings) and have walls, doors and windows detected to build the model. DF.23 does this from the lines of a DWG/DXF; this asks for PDFs and pictures, related to LC.6 scanned drawings. Owner 2026-10-23: yes to the auto trace. Planned in session trace (W3.15): BimCraft Build › From a drawing… takes vector PDFs and scans (traced by LC.6's engine) into DF.23's walls and openings; MarkupCraft is not touched in 0.7. |

FeatureMC-DIVIDE
Link to MC-DIVIDE |
ModelCraft: divide a line or arc into equal parts With an edge or arc selected, typing /n in the value box (the same /3 that spreads Move copies today) splits it into n equal edges, with a vertex at each division. An arc is divided along its curve, by equal angle, not along its chord. A curve made of many segments (a circle's or an arc's edges) is divided by length along the whole curve. Also a Divide… item on the right-click menu that asks for the number, so it works on a tablet with no keyboard. One undo step. Build it on model.js splitEdge. In the m3d kernel, so re-copy to the other apps (docs/3D-SPEC.md). Tests in bin/test-modelcraft.mjs: a line /3, an arc /4 (equal angles), a 24-segment circle /6, undo. |

FeatureMC-CALC
Link to MC-CALC |
ModelCraft: arithmetic in the value box (tape measure, Move, Push/pull) ModelCraft was left out of DF.3 (0.6 typed arithmetic): its value box reads 2.5 but refuses 2.5/3, 4+7/16 and (2.5)/3. Give it its own copy of the DF.3 parser (cadcraft/dev/lencalc.js rules: + - * / and parentheses over lengths with units, no eval, a refusal that says where) and use it in units.js parseValue for every length, in the tape measure and every other tool. A leading /n, n x, *n and ns keep their meanings (divide copies, array, sides), so /3 is still the copy command and 2.5/3 is a length. Same in the other 3D apps that use the m3d value box. Add ModelCraft to tools/lencalc/sync.mjs. Tests: 2.5/3, 12'6"+3/4", (24'-0")/3, 2*450mm, and /3, 3x, 24s unchanged. |

FeatureMCP-PATHS
Link to MCP-PATHS |
CadCraft: file paths for assistants instead of file dialogs OPEN, INSERT F, APPLOAD and COUNT export open a system file dialog, so an MCP call hangs until someone closes it and an assistant can't open a drawing on its own. Give these commands, plus SAVE, SAVEAS and PLOT, path arguments for the MCP server, confined to its roots. Moved from the 0.6.1 list (feature). |

Electrical add-on: building installation symbols and RCDs The Electrical add-on targets machine-control schematics (IEC 81346). Add symbols for building installations and residual-current devices (RCDs). Moved from the 0.6.1 list (feature). Discord CSV 2026-10-21: Asked again on Discord (2 mentions, #cadcraft Oct 18, 21): EPLAN / AutoCAD Electrical-style schematics. The Electrical add-on (IEC/NFPA symbols, cross-references, PLC I/O, terminal plans) already covers schematics; ArtCraft staff pointed one asker to ours. Suggestions 2026-10-22: Asked again on /suggest (#753, Oct 16): an electrical CAD without the yearly price. The Electrical add-on covers schematics today. Suggestions 2026-10-26: Asked again on /suggest (#917 an electrical design app like Eplan, Oct 22). |

FeatureMCP-COUNT
Link to MCP-COUNT |
CadCraft: a count-only objects_list objects_list has no cheap count: a Discord member read the total with an offset past the end and limit=1. Add count_only (or limit=0 → count only) so drawing content stays out of the assistant's context. |

FeatureMCP-WINDOW-IDS
Link to MCP-WINDOW-IDS |
Studio: window ids that survive a restart The window id from windows_list is the window's label for this run, so it changes after every restart and an assistant's saved id stops working. Give windows a stable id (for example from the file), or let assistants pick a window by file. |

CadCraft: headless, path-based automation for assistants a Discord member's wish list from another CAD tool: open, execute (insert with file, position and attributes; save as; plot; count; text) and convert IN OUT to dxf, dwg, svg, png or pdf, all headless, plus a batch CLI and a one-call drawing overview. Much of it exists in the headless MCP server and CLI (tools/mcp/server.mjs --root; drawing_open, drawing_save with a DWG version, drawing_convert, drawing_plot, drawing_describe; cadcraft convert), which is not published yet (@getcadcraft/mcp is the owner's). Missing: SVG and PNG output, insert with attributes as one call, and the same in the live in-app server (MCP-PATHS). |

CadCraft’s 3D kernel copy has drifted from ModelCraft’s cadcraft/dev/m3d/ differs from ModelCraft’s since 2026-10-15 (before the lc-model session). FeatureBIM-MLWALL
Link to BIM-MLWALL |
Walls that run through several levels People on Discord can't find multi-level walls in BimCraft. Today a wall's top is either "Up to the level above" or a fixed height. A fixed height can be taller than one floor, but the upper levels' plans don't show the wall (each plan draws only its own level's walls, model-plan.js planCut skips other storeys), rooms up there don't close against it, and it doesn't follow level height changes. Build: (1) wall Top = any level above (Level 3, Roof…) + offset, in the wall panel and the Draw bar (CadCraft_Wall TopLevel already takes any level's GlobalId; wallHeight already measures to it); (2) every plan the wall passes through shows it cut, and rooms on those levels close against it; (3) doors and windows can be placed in the part of the wall on an upper level. |

CadCraft: dock the toolbar on any side ArtCraft’s Asked: toolbars with icon + label, dockable on any side; a friendlier, Windows-style default layout (3 mentions, #cadcraft Oct 17–20). Checked 2026-10-21: icons + labels / icons / labels already exist (Settings › toolbar buttons), the toolbar can be rearranged and locked, and panels dock left, right, bottom, float or pop out. Missing: the toolbar itself docks only at the top on desktop (the phone layout moves it top/bottom). Do: left / right / bottom docking for the toolbar in every menu style, saved with the layout and reset by Reset the layout. Goes with GH.1 (toolbar rows). |

Move dialogs freely; pop a dialog out to its own window in Studio ArtCraft’s Asked: drag dialog boxes to a second monitor; they are trapped in the app window (#cadcraft Oct 21). Checked 2026-10-21: the same holds for ours. Dialogs are in-page <dialog> elements (showModal) with no drag; only side panels can go to their own window (app-panels.js). Do: every dialog draggable by its title bar (position remembered per dialog); in Studio, long-lived dialogs (Plot, Layers, Properties-style managers) can open as their own window like panels do. |

LC.21 is beginner 3D only. Checked 2026-10-21: help has getting-started, learn-from-a-sample, coming-from (AutoCAD habits), commands, command-aliases and keyboard topics, but no in-app guided start and no printable cheat sheet. Do: (a) a first-run guided drawing (5–6 steps, skippable, Help › Start the tour); (b) a one-page cheat sheet (PDF + help page) of the 40 everyday commands with aliases; (c) an AutoCAD → CadCraft command table on the site from the alias list; (d) fix coming-from.md, which still says XREF is not built (it is: layertools.js). CadCraft: real splines (SPLINE, SPLINEDIT) and PEDIT ArtCraft’s Asked: PEDIT to convert a spline to a polyline (#cadcraft Oct 20). Checked 2026-10-21: we have no SPLINE entity or command and no PEDIT (both listed in not-built-yet.md). Splines in opened files come in as polylines; unedited ones are written back as they came (dwg-keep.js), edited ones become polylines. Checked 2026-10-21: ours has neither command. Properties edits a dimension's settings and can apply a style that came in a file, and the DIM variables work on the command line, but you can't create, edit or set current a named dimension style. CadCraft: non-Latin text in DXF, \M+ escapes and CJK in PDF plots ArtCraft’s Asked: Korean, Vietnamese and Russian text and tab titles garbled (2 mentions, #cadcraft Oct 19). Checked 2026-10-21: DWG is fine (code pages 1251, 1258, 949, 932, 936, 950 and \U+ escapes decode). Three gaps in ours: (a) DXF ignores $DWGCODEPAGE — it is decoded as UTF-8, falling back to windows-1252 (cadcraft.js file open), so a Russian or Korean R2000 DXF shows garbage; (b) \M+ multibyte escapes (older Asian text) are not decoded anywhere; (c) PDF plots embed Liberation Sans, so CJK prints as “?” (pdf-font.js). Screen and tab titles are fine. Fixtures in fixtures/dwg/ per code page. |

CadCraft: keep MTEXT formatting when it is opened and edited ArtCraft’s Asked: can't edit text after opening a DWG (#cadcraft Oct 21). Checked 2026-10-21: ours edits it (double-click → TEXTEDIT, EATTEDIT for attributes). The catch found while checking: mtextPlain strips inline MTEXT formatting (fonts, colours, stacked fractions, paragraphs) on import, so editing an MTEXT loses it. Do: keep the formatting codes and render the common ones; edit plain text inside them; write them back. |

CadCraft: layouts that open empty or lose a viewport ArtCraft’s Asked: layouts show random artifacts; some files show empty layouts (#cadcraft Oct 17). Checked 2026-10-21: two risky assumptions in ours (dwg-import.js layouts): a layout with no block link is dropped entirely, and the first VIEWPORT found is taken to be the sheet's own and removed — if a real viewport comes first, it disappears. Paper size falls back LIMITS → first viewport → A4/Letter. Do: find the overall viewport by its id (the one with status/ID 1), keep link-less layouts with a warning in the import report, fixtures for both, and ask Discord for a file that opens empty (DISCORD-ASK). |

Checked 2026-10-21: ours has a fixed metric + architectural list (sheets.js); a file's odd scale displays but can't be added; annotation scale is a fixed 1:1. Do: SCALELISTEDIT, the drawing's scale list read and written in DWG/DXF (ACAD_SCALELIST), custom scales in the viewport and plot pickers. |

Checked 2026-10-21: ours plots only a vector PDF (download or open in the browser's viewer, which can print). A browser can't list printers; Studio can. Also PNG and SVG plot output. |

PDF underlay (PDFATTACH) and PDF import into CadCraft ArtCraft’s Asked: attach a PDF like AutoCAD, and insert a PDF into a model (2 mentions, #cadcraft Oct 17, 21). Checked 2026-10-21: ours has no PDFATTACH/PDFIMPORT; the open dialog takes .dwg/.dxf only. MarkupCraft already renders PDFs (pdf.js) and reads vector content. Do: PDFATTACH (page, scale, clip, fade, snap to its vectors), saved as a PDF underlay in DWG/DXF; PDFIMPORT turns a page's vectors and text into lines, arcs and text. Owner 2026-10-21: planned for 0.7 (session cad-bugs). Uses the vendored pdf.js (Apache-2.0) as MarkupCraft does; underlay saved as PDFDEFINITION / PDFREFERENCE in DWG (cc-dwg, from the ODA spec) and DXF. Suggestions 2026-10-26: Asked again on /suggest (#913, Oct 22): import a PDF or image, scale it and trace over it. PDF import and underlay are built here. |

Show 3D solids (ACIS) from other programs in CadCraft and ModelCraft ArtCraft’s Asked: open 3D drawings/solids; “where is 3D” (5 mentions, #craft-apps Oct 17, 18, 20; #cadcraft Oct 17, 20). Related DC.1, M3D-DRIFT. Checked 2026-10-21: the handoff is there (the Open in ModelCraft button, OPENIN3D), and CadCraft's 3D tab draws its own solids. But 3DSOLID/REGION/BODY from AutoCAD are kept byte for byte and never drawn — the SAT/SAB inside is not read (acis.js), in CadCraft, ModelCraft and BimCraft. Do: a clean-room SAT/SAB reader for planar and simple curved faces, tessellated for display (edit stays read-only); counted honestly in the import report. |

Checked 2026-10-21: NC1/DSTV is built (DetailCraft, nc1.js). PartCraft exports a faceted STEP on the mesh kernel, but STEP import (and exact STEP export) needs the OpenCascade kernel, which is off in shipped builds (LGPL) — so a user can't open a STEP today. No STEP in ModelCraft or BimCraft. Native SLDPRT/Creo/CATIA stay out (closed formats); the SolidWorks macro exchange (tools/partcraft-sw) still needs its first run in SolidWorks. Do: a clean-room AP203/214/242 reader for faceted and B-rep bodies (tessellated to the mesh kernel), in PartCraft, ModelCraft and BimCraft. See D7.45 for the kernel. |

Checked 2026-10-21: autosave in ours is crash recovery only; cloud drawings already keep versions on the server (drawing_versions, /api/v1/sync/versions) with no UI; Compare covers styles, layers and settings, not geometry; drawing compare exists only in MarkupCraft (PDF sets). Checked 2026-10-21: CivilCraft already covers most of the Civil 3D list (TIN surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, pipe networks, drainage, grading, parcels, mass-haul, sections, LandXML, plan/profile sheets). The gaps that stand out: alignments have no spirals (alignment.js), corridors have one simple symmetric assembly (no curb, gutter, sidewalk; corridor.js). Do: clothoid spirals (LandXML in/out), an assembly editor with curb, gutter, sidewalk and daylight subassemblies, different left/right. LC.16 covers networks. Checked 2026-10-21: sketches have a real solver with redundancy/conflict analysis (solver.js); assemblies are placed by walking a tree from the grounded part, and a joint that closes a loop is only checked, not solved (assembly.js). Checked 2026-10-21: PartCraft ships on manifold-3d (mesh); OpenCascade is off in shipped builds (LGPL), which is why STEP import, exact fillets and shells don't work for users (see D7.26). The K.1 spike (tools/partcraft-test/k1-spike) last judged truck a no-go. Checked 2026-10-21 — real in ours: (a) the hub sets updateReady whenever the build has a feed, not when a newer version exists, so the dismissed What's new card returns at every start, even with updates off (hub.js); (b) the feed has only windows-x86_64 (build.mjs), so any other platform with a feed gets “target not found”, reported as “network:” (updates.rs); (c) the hub reads r.message from a plain-string result, so every check shows the generic text. Units of measure in every app: many more units, each on or off in Settings, starred default Owner, 2026-10-22: many more units in every app (CivilCraft will use them most), and a Settings section where each unit is turned on or off for the dropdown lists, with a star for the default. One shared table, lib/units/ (canonical, copied byte for byte into each app by a sync script, like lib/shapes), in place of the five separate lists in cadcraft, civilcraft, markupcraft, modelcraft and takeoffcraft units.js (bimcraft, detailcraft and partcraft have none). Exact factors; the international foot and the US survey foot stay two different units. - Length: nm, µm, mm, cm, dm, m, dam, hm, km; mil (thou), in, ft, ft-in, US survey ft, yd, rod, link, chain, furlong, mile, US survey mile, nautical mile, fathom; point and pica for sheets. - Area: mm², cm², m², are, hectare, km²; in², ft², yd², square (100 ft², roofing), rood, acre, sq mi. - Volume: mm³, cm³, mL, L, m³; in³, ft³, yd³ (CY), US gallon, imperial gallon, board foot, acre-foot. - Angle and slope: degrees, deg-min-sec, gons (grads), radians; percent, H:V, rise:run. Settings › General › Units (the shell's, so every app gets it): one list per kind; each unit has an on/off switch and a star. Every unit dropdown shows only the units turned on, and the starred one is the default for new drawings, measures and items. The settings never change a file: a drawing or project keeps its own unit (DWG $INSUNITS, a CivilCraft project's ft / m / US survey ft), and a unit the file uses shows in its dropdown even when turned off. Typed values take any unit's mark (3 ac, 2.5 mi, 400 nm, 12'6"). Build on bimcraft PR #4 (yisraelk, closes GH.3): its toolbar selector and model-units.js (six units, getDisplayUnits/setDisplayUnits, localStorage bimcraft.model.units) become BimCraft's use of the shared table and Settings list; keep the work and credit, carry the saved choice over. Words in en, es-MX and id. Tests: each conversion against its legal definition, parse ↔ format round trips, the copies byte-identical. |

BimCraft families: make them solid Owner 2026-10-22: families go in 0.7, and 0.7 makes them solid. DC.114 (0.6) built families on IFC types: editor, formulas, Booleans, duplicate, save as IFC / .ccfamily.json (docs/apps/bimcraft-families.md; 118 + 42 checks). It has had no use by anyone but its builder yet. Do: (a) use it like a new user for a day: make a door, a window, a cabinet and a table family from nothing, place 50 of each, change sizes, undo and redo through all of it, save, close, reopen; every snag fixed or filed; (b) break it on purpose: huge or empty recipes, cyclic and wrong formulas, a family file from an untrusted source (limits, names, expressions), a family deleted while placed, two people editing the same family in Live; (c) round trip: IFC2X3 and IFC4 saved and reopened in BimCraft, and the families listed as plain types by another reader (cc-ifc, IfcOpenShell if it is on hand; the hand check with other BIM programs waits on the owner, DISCORD-ASK); (d) speed: a model with 2,000 placed family elements, a family with 100 solids, a size change that redraws everything; record the numbers with uptime; (e) keyboard, screen reader and phone use of the editor dialog; (f) es-MX and id strings complete; help topics families and family-editor re-read against what the app does. Known-answer tests for every fix. Owner 2026-10-22: the bar is "just like Archicad": if an Archicad user places, stretches and edits an object and it behaves as they expect (BIM-FAM-MORE has the detail), ours must too. In the day of use, (a) do it with the same small house as SU.461. |
