Introducing SuperCad Studio

The power of eight apps, working as one.

Site, building, sheets and takeoff in one window. Draw the site, build the model, check it, price it and issue it without ever leaving the window or exporting a file to carry it to the next program. Every tool from the eight apps is there, on the same files.

$250 per seat, named seats, 3 years of free upgrades, commercial use.

It saves you time by keeping the whole job together.

Think of it as your own project organizer. Everything for a job stays in one place and stays in step, so your hours go to designing, not to hunting for the right file.

  • One project file holds the drawing, the model, the markups, the quantities and the parts, with the links between them.
  • It saves as an organized project: Data, Drawings and Documentation folders, so every file has its place. A real folder in Chrome and Edge, the same layout inside one project file elsewhere.
  • Open it and every file goes back into the app that owns it. Nothing to collect, nothing to re-import.
  • Turn on version history and it keeps timestamped copies of your earlier drawings in a folder you can delete at any time, without touching the project.
  • Quantities follow the building model as you edit it, with no re-export between design and takeoff.
  • When the job is done, one export set writes the PDF, DWG, DXF, IFC, BCF, XLSX and STEP files as a single zip.

Why it is different.

Most of a job is lost between programs. SuperCad Studio removes the between.

01

One window, not eight

The eight apps stay what they are, free and open source. SuperCad Studio hosts all of them as panels in one window, so there is no closing one program and opening another to carry a drawing across.

02

One project, not eight files

A single project file holds what each app saved, with the unit and the links between them. Open it and every file goes back into the app that owns it.

03

Linked, not copied

Quantities follow the building model into takeoff while you edit, and a link table in the project records it. Change a wall once; the quantity rows follow.

04

Find any tool in a second

One search (Ctrl+K) reaches every tool in all eight apps, over a thousand of them, and says why a tool cannot run right now instead of silently greying out.

05

Arranged your way

Panels tear off into their own windows, group as tabs, split and dock. Your layout, menus and keys are saved, and a setup file carries them to another computer.

06

Open any file

Open a file or drop it on the window and it goes to the app that reads it, asking you when more than one does. DWG, DXF, IFC, STEP, PDF and the rest of the open formats stay open formats.

Who we recommend it for.

Architects, and creators who have a workflow for their job: a path every project follows, from the first sketch to the files you hand over.

Architects

The site, the building, the model, the quantities and the sheets in one place. A design change shows up everywhere it matters, instead of in one program at a time.

Creators with a workflow

Designers, makers and engineers whose projects move through the same stages every time. Arrange the five workspaces to match your stages, and save the setup to carry it to the next computer.

Only drawing now and then, or on a single task? The eight apps are free and open source, and each one stands on its own.

The loose ends of a job, built in.

Five tools keep the paperwork of a project inside the project, instead of in five other programs. Each one is a plugin you can switch off in Settings.

Email this

Choose what to send, a view, a drawing, the export set or the project, and Super opens your mail app with the message ready. Every hand-off is logged in the project.

Notes

Write notes as you go and link them to a drawing, a sheet or an element, so they are found where they matter.

Tasks

A simple task list with due dates, links and overdue marking. The totals show up in Report and price.

Project timer

Time the job as you go, or add time by hand afterwards. Totals by day, task and project, with a spreadsheet export.

Calendar events

Make an event, repeat it, add attendees and reminders, or turn a task's due date into one. Save a standard calendar file for whichever calendar you use, or email it as an invitation. Times follow the time zone you choose.

Everything is saved in your project folder, on your own computer. Nothing is uploaded.

Workspaces that follow the job.

Five workspaces, named for the work and not for an app. Each is a saved arrangement of panels; switching one never changes the project. Make your own, or show only the ones you use.

Workspace 1Layout

The site: survey points, surfaces, alignments, pads, grading and map layers.

Workspace 2Build

The 2D drawing, the building (walls, doors, roofs, MEP) and steel and rebar.

Workspace 3Model

Free 3D modelling and engineered parts, with materials, render and sections.

Workspace 4Report and price

Sheets and markup, quantities, schedules, checks and estimates.

Workspace 5Finalize and export

Sheets, title blocks and plot sets, then one export set: PDF, DWG, DXF, IFC, BCF, XLSX and STEP as one zip.

One price. Yours to keep.
