  • Planned 0 on the plan for the release it is filed under
  • Built 297 built and working in /lab (the dev builds). Whether the public has it is its reach: "in the lab", "Live" (the last gate) or "switched off"; see docs/REACH-LIVE.md
  • Partly built 0 part of it is built in /lab; the rest waits (see "Waits on")
  • Promised 0 the live site already says it is coming
  • Moved 0 moved here from an earlier release or wishlist
  • Found 0 bug found after a release shipped; fixed in a point release or the next one
  • Candidate 0 recommended in a spike or session log; owner to choose
  • Community please test 0 built and in /use; a Discord post gives the steps and the expected result and asks people to try it on their own devices, files or know-how
  • Decision Time 0 a decision, check, file, key, flag or go only you can give; folds into the list once answered

Built means built and working in the lab. Live means the public can use it, and is the last gate: 293 Built · Live, 4 Built · in the lab.

FeatureD8.15 Link to D8.15 MarkupCraft Copy area: copy part of a page (rectangle, circle, freeform), and copy it as a see-through overlay

A Copy area tool in MarkupCraft. Pick a shape (rectangle, circle/ellipse, freeform with the lasso), then a small bar offers: include markups on/off, resolution (screen, 150 or 300 dpi), Copy, and Copy as overlay. Copy puts a PNG of that part of the page on the system clipboard (outside a circle or freeform is see-through, not white), so it pastes into Word, email, other PDF and drawing apps; MarkupCraft also keeps its own clip with the source file, page, scale and area. Copy as overlay makes the paper see-through (near-white pixels clear), with an opacity (default 50%) and an optional one-colour tint so it stands out over another drawing. Pasted in MarkupCraft it becomes an image markup that follows the pointer until placed, then moves, turns, locks and keeps its opacity in the property panel. Save as PNG for apps that drop transparency on paste. Decided while building: the area is copied as a picture, not the PDF's vector lines (the Content tool's copy keeps vectors); a big area at a high resolution is lowered in dpi until the PNG is under 3 MB, the cap was not raised. The size travels between our apps through localStorage (same site), so CadCraft, BimCraft and DetailCraft paste it at the drawing's real size when the sheet had a scale. Built 2026-10-30, ready in /lab: MarkupCraft Edit › More › Copy an area of the page… (Copy, Copy as overlay, Save as PNG) and Line up a picture with two points; CadCraft PASTEAREA (picture at real size, DWG IMAGE with transparency); BimCraft Ctrl+V on a plan (D8.8 picture at true size); DetailCraft reference pictures on a level. Plan and test results: docs/0.8-PART4.md § D8.15. A user's ask, passed on by the owner 2026-10-30 ("add it now", then "build the whole thing").

Regional standards 1
FeatureREG.1 Link to REG.1 Building regulations by jurisdiction (country, later state, county, city) as library packs

Building regulations by jurisdiction, kept in the library so they stay current outside the apps: a corrected limit or new edition is a new library version, not an app release. Full note: docs/0.8-ZA-STANDARDS.md section 1a. Granularity: country first (ISO 3166-1), later state (ISO 3166-2), county or district, city. Each level inherits the one above and can add, change or remove single rules; the report says where each rule came from. A pack is data only, never code: rules (applies to, comparison, value with unit, clause number, our own label), defaults, edition and dates. An ADD-ON, not part of the apps (owner: not in every app): the bundled BimCraft add-on 'Building regulations', off until switched on. Packs will be a Library item kind so people can submit their own; the doc lists the decisions (trust, who may publish a reference pack, copyright, pinned versions). BUILT in /lab (2026-10-25), first slice: the add-on (add-on API 1.2 hook), the pack format, a US (IRC 2021) pack and a South African sample, a Settings section, stairs that follow the pack, a Building regulations schedule. Packs are files beside the add-on for now. LEFT: the Library kind and submissions, pinned versions per project, state/county/city packs, other apps, a check report with sources. The South African numbers are UNCHECKED.

FeatureAC.5 Link to AC.5 Ready-made prompts and skills for each app

Each app offers prompts and instructions through MCP (and as files for platforms that take skills or custom instructions), so any assistant knows the tools and our rules from the first message: dimension a plan, check a model, total a takeoff, run a design study. Owner 2026-10-27 ("make it easy to connect to from their AI platforms"). Plan docs/0.8-PART5.md § Connect your AI. Widened 2026-10-27 (Connect your AI list): skill packs per app and per discipline (structural, MEP, civil, aerospace), and a gallery of tested prompt starters in each app ("audit this sheet set", "count every fixture").
