  • Planned 0 on the plan for the release it is filed under
  • Built 297 built and working in /lab (the dev builds). Whether the public has it is its reach: "in the lab", "Live" (the last gate) or "switched off"; see docs/REACH-LIVE.md
  • Partly built 0 part of it is built in /lab; the rest waits (see "Waits on")
  • Promised 0 the live site already says it is coming
  • Moved 0 moved here from an earlier release or wishlist
  • Found 0 bug found after a release shipped; fixed in a point release or the next one
  • Candidate 0 recommended in a spike or session log; owner to choose
  • Community please test 0 built and in /use; a Discord post gives the steps and the expected result and asks people to try it on their own devices, files or know-how
  • Decision Time 0 a decision, check, file, key, flag or go only you can give; folds into the list once answered

Built means built and working in the lab. Live means the public can use it, and is the last gate: 293 Built · Live, 4 Built · in the lab.

Suggestions (Track SX) 26
Sanity checkSU.1061 Link to SU.1061 Older Macs and browsers: say what the oldest supported system is

Asked: a version for older operating systems such as macOS Sierra, so old computers that still work can draw (#1061, Oct 26). Do: find the real floor today for each way to run the apps (web edition: oldest Safari / Chrome / Firefox that runs the apps and WebGL; Studio on macOS, Windows 10, Linux), state it on /download and in the help, and list what a person on something older can still do (the web edition in a current browser, or older releases). No promise of a build for systems the web view no longer supports.

FeatureSU.935 Link to SU.935 CivilCraft: ground surface and contours from a drone point cloud

Asked: process drone point clouds the way a reality-capture program does, then make surfaces and contours (#935, Oct 23). Today: clouds open (PLY, PCD, PTX, LAS; E57 partly, PF.1) and register (LC.3), and CivilCraft builds a ground TIN with contours from survey points (tin.js), but no step goes from cloud to ground. Do: thin the cloud to a grid, separate ground from objects (cloth or slope filter, with settings you can see), build the TIN, contours at your interval, volumes against a design surface; works on 50+ million points through the existing chunked reader.

CivilCraft Built · Live 3 session civil-08 (next: the 50-million-point cloud run on workstation11a; script and steps in docs/0.8-sessions/civil-08.md) From: site suggestion (Suggestion) /admin/suggestions, evaluated 2026-10-26
FeatureSU.932 Link to SU.932 CadCraft: bearings typed like N45°23'30"E

Asked: type a line by bearing in degrees, minutes and seconds, e.g. 20 m at N45°23'E, to lay out lots (#932, Oct 23). Today CivilCraft’s traverse reads bearings; the CadCraft command line does not. Do: quadrant-bearing input (N/S d°m's"E/W, also d-m-s and decimals) wherever a direction is asked (LINE at a direction, polar, DIST), a BEARING display option on the status line and in the Properties panel, and a setting for angle format (decimal / DMS / surveyor).

FeatureSU.914 Link to SU.914 CivilCraft: house platforms on sloped sites — retaining edges, shaded cut and fill, free sections, sloped pads

Asked (#914, Oct 22): (1) a retaining wall as a pad edge, height read from the ground along it; (2) cut and fill shaded by depth in plan and 3D with spot levels; (3) a section line drawn anywhere, for council drawings; (4) sloped pads for driveways and ramps; (5) a swell factor on cut. Checked 2026-10-26: (5) exists in the mass-haul tool (shrink and swell factors; masshaul.js), so only a hint on the grading dialog is missing; the platform side of LD.3 (pads, swales, berms) is the base. Do (1)–(4). Gives LC.1 Site concept the platform for the building.

FeatureSU.911 Link to SU.911 CivilCraft: terrain from contour lines

Asked: a surveyor gives a contour map with elevations but no coordinates, so a point cloud is hard; build terrain from the contours (#911, Oct 22). Today TIN contours come out of a surface (tin.js) and DXF polylines can carry an elevation. Do: make a ground surface from contour polylines (a polyline’s elevation, or typed per line with a start / interval pick), use them as breaklines, flag crossing or duplicate contours, scale and place a contour map from an image or PDF (D7.24) by two known points.

FeatureSU.957 Link to SU.957 CivilCraft: river hydraulics and flood simulation (HEC-RAS-style, 1D first)

Asked: open-source engineering software for hydraulic work, first pick river hydraulics and flood simulation on Linux, next to numerical computing and GIS (#958, #957 duplicate, Oct 24). Today: pipe networks (LC.16, CV.2), irrigation hydraulics (LD.5), map layers. Do first: a 1D steady-flow river model on cross-sections cut from the terrain (standard-step water surface, Manning’s n by zone, bridges and culverts later), flood extents drawn on the plan, a report with every assumption. Needs known-answer tests against published examples and an engineer’s review before it leaves /lab.
