Sanity checkSU.1061 Link to SU.1061 Older Macs and browsers: say what the oldest supported system is

Asked: a version for older operating systems such as macOS Sierra, so old computers that still work can draw (#1061, Oct 26). Do: find the real floor today for each way to run the apps (web edition: oldest Safari / Chrome / Firefox that runs the apps and WebGL; Studio on macOS, Windows 10, Linux), state it on /download and in the help, and list what a person on something older can still do (the web edition in a current browser, or older releases). No promise of a build for systems the web view no longer supports.

FeatureSU.1035 Link to SU.1035 Cabinet and millwork add-on: boxes from a drawing to cut list, nest, G-code and labels

Asked: draw cabinets (DWG based), print reports and generate G-code for the CNC with printed labels (#1035, Oct 25). Related: window builder (#874), CAM/CAD (#875, #886). The parts exist: product configurators (LC.14), nesting with offcuts (LC.17, SU.755), CAM posts (LC.15), labels. Missing: the cabinet itself. Do: an add-on with cabinet boxes (base, wall, tall; doors, drawers, shelves) drawn from a plan in CadCraft, a cut list and edge-banding report, nesting onto sheets, G-code per sheet, a label per part. Owner decides whether it is an add-on we build (DEC-10).

FeatureSU.955 Link to SU.955 BimCraft: a project plumbing standard (US / Brazil ABNT)

Asked: a project setting "Plumbing standard: US / Brazil (ABNT)" so every new pipe run starts with that standard’s materials, sizes and slopes; today the standard follows the material picked (#955, Oct 23, from the contributor of the plumbing PRs #7–#12, CONTRIB-1024). They offered to send the PR. Do: accept the PR if it follows CONTRIBUTING (setting in Project, defaults per standard, runs and fixtures follow it, tests), and answer on GitHub.

FeatureSU.935 Link to SU.935 CivilCraft: ground surface and contours from a drone point cloud

Asked: process drone point clouds the way a reality-capture program does, then make surfaces and contours (#935, Oct 23). Today: clouds open (PLY, PCD, PTX, LAS; E57 partly, PF.1) and register (LC.3), and CivilCraft builds a ground TIN with contours from survey points (tin.js), but no step goes from cloud to ground. Do: thin the cloud to a grid, separate ground from objects (cloth or slope filter, with settings you can see), build the TIN, contours at your interval, volumes against a design surface; works on 50+ million points through the existing chunked reader.

CivilCraft Built · Live 3 session civil-08 (next: the 50-million-point cloud run on workstation11a; script and steps in docs/0.8-sessions/civil-08.md) From: site suggestion (Suggestion) /admin/suggestions, evaluated 2026-10-26
FeatureSU.934 Link to SU.934 ModelCraft and PartCraft: non-uniform scale for shrinkage allowance

Asked: non-uniform scale so a pattern can be made bigger than the part to allow for shrinkage after casting (#934, Oct 23). Do: Scale takes X, Y and Z factors (and a percentage per axis), on a solid or a selection, about a chosen point; PartCraft keeps the feature in the tree so the factor can be edited later; a "shrinkage allowance" preset (percent per axis, e.g. 1.5 %) next to it.

FeatureSU.932 Link to SU.932 CadCraft: bearings typed like N45°23'30"E

Asked: type a line by bearing in degrees, minutes and seconds, e.g. 20 m at N45°23'E, to lay out lots (#932, Oct 23). Today CivilCraft’s traverse reads bearings; the CadCraft command line does not. Do: quadrant-bearing input (N/S d°m's"E/W, also d-m-s and decimals) wherever a direction is asked (LINE at a direction, polar, DIST), a BEARING display option on the status line and in the Properties panel, and a setting for angle format (decimal / DMS / surveyor).

FeatureSU.929 Link to SU.929 Split a big model for printing: keys, part numbers and alignment

Asked: a program that prints larger models by splitting them, but not at that price (#929, Oct 22); the same maker’s licence tied to a USB stick (#918, Oct 22, duplicate). Today: LC.21 repairs, hollows and adds supports and walls for a print. Missing: cutting. Do: split a solid or mesh by a plane (or into a grid that fits the printer’s bed), add interlocking keys, pegs or dovetails with a clearance you set, number every part and print its number on the cut face, an assembly picture, and keep the split editable in PartCraft. No licence server, no USB key.

FeatureSU.914 Link to SU.914 CivilCraft: house platforms on sloped sites — retaining edges, shaded cut and fill, free sections, sloped pads

Asked (#914, Oct 22): (1) a retaining wall as a pad edge, height read from the ground along it; (2) cut and fill shaded by depth in plan and 3D with spot levels; (3) a section line drawn anywhere, for council drawings; (4) sloped pads for driveways and ramps; (5) a swell factor on cut. Checked 2026-10-26: (5) exists in the mass-haul tool (shrink and swell factors; masshaul.js), so only a hint on the grading dialog is missing; the platform side of LD.3 (pads, swales, berms) is the base. Do (1)–(4). Gives LC.1 Site concept the platform for the building.

FeatureSU.912 Link to SU.912 CadCraft: classes and design layers, viewports with their own class visibility, publish a set to PDF and DWG

Asked: Vectorworks-style 2D organisation: design layers say where an element belongs, classes say what it is and how it looks; one true-scale drawing, several viewports at different scales each with its own class visibility and graphic overrides; one tool to publish the whole set to PDF and DWG (#912, Oct 22). Also #933 (Vectorworks’ 2D tools, too expensive, Oct 23) and #930/#1055. Checked 2026-10-26: sheet sets already number, title and publish layouts from many drawings as one PDF (sheetset.js). Missing: classes as a second axis next to layers, per-viewport class overrides, and DWG out in the same batch. Owner decides how far from AutoCAD’s layer model this goes.

CadCraft Built · Live 9 session sx-classes: all steps in /lab, not released (owner: O2 + O3/O4 defaults, hand checks — docs/0.8-sessions/sx-classes.md) From: site suggestion (Suggestion) docs/0.8-PART2.md (Track SX), from /admin/suggestions 2026-10-27
FeatureSU.911 Link to SU.911 CivilCraft: terrain from contour lines

Asked: a surveyor gives a contour map with elevations but no coordinates, so a point cloud is hard; build terrain from the contours (#911, Oct 22). Today TIN contours come out of a surface (tin.js) and DXF polylines can carry an elevation. Do: make a ground surface from contour polylines (a polyline’s elevation, or typed per line with a start / interval pick), use them as breaklines, flag crossing or duplicate contours, scale and place a contour map from an image or PDF (D7.24) by two known points.

FeatureSU.910 Link to SU.910 MarkupCraft: Live review sessions with several people marking up at once

Asked: live sessions for MarkupCraft so several people review a drawing and leave markup together, for faster approvals (#910, Oct 22). Live co-editing runs in the other apps (Studio Live, DC.23 edit log); MarkupCraft does not join. Do: MarkupCraft joins a Live session (LAN code / invite link), shows each reviewer’s cursor and colour, merges markups from different people without overwriting, keeps who wrote what in the markup list, and exports the reviewed PDF.

MarkupCraftStudio Built · Live 3 – From: site suggestion (Suggestion) /admin/suggestions, evaluated 2026-10-26
FeatureSU.915 Link to SU.915 Tags: your own tag fields on elements that feed schedules

Asked: a tagging system for the relational requirements of an architectural project, connected to outputs for schedules (#915, Oct 22). Today BimCraft reads and writes IFC property sets and builds schedules from them. Missing: a way to define your own tag (name, type, allowed values), put it on elements in bulk, and use it in schedule columns, filters and groups. Owner chooses between property sets as the model and a lighter tag layer.

FeatureSU.1055 Link to SU.1055 BimCraft: the best of Revit and Archicad — trace reference, pen overrides, OBJ import, stairs

Asked (#1055, Oct 25; #930, Oct 22, duplicate): from Archicad, Trace Reference of any view, more fluid 3D design, multi-format point clouds, OBJ import; from Revit, pen and line overrides, and editing stairs as families from a sketch. Checked 2026-10-26: point clouds come in PLY / PCD / PTX / LAS (E57 partly, PF.1), views, crops and callouts are built (DF.19, DC.117), families are on IFC types (DC.114) and being deepened (BIM-FAM-MORE). Missing: Trace Reference of another view, per-view pen and line overrides, OBJ import in BimCraft, a stair family from a sketch. See SU.461.

FeatureSU.957 Link to SU.957 CivilCraft: river hydraulics and flood simulation (HEC-RAS-style, 1D first)

Asked: open-source engineering software for hydraulic work, first pick river hydraulics and flood simulation on Linux, next to numerical computing and GIS (#958, #957 duplicate, Oct 24). Today: pipe networks (LC.16, CV.2), irrigation hydraulics (LD.5), map layers. Do first: a 1D steady-flow river model on cross-sections cut from the terrain (standard-step water surface, Manning’s n by zone, bridges and culverts later), flood extents drawn on the plan, a report with every assumption. Needs known-answer tests against published examples and an engineer’s review before it leaves /lab.

FeatureSU.766 Link to SU.766 Entertainment lighting plots: fixtures on positions, numbering, instrument schedule, channel hookup

Asked: entertainment lighting plots, mainly 2D (fixture symbols, rigging plots), 3D later; the usual program costs about £1,620 a year with no way to own it (#766, Oct 17). Moved here from LC.11 on 2026-10-27 (LC.11 is animation and production tracking). Do: fixtures as blocks with attributes (unit, channel, address, purpose, colour, wattage) hung on pipes/truss positions, auto-numbering along a position, instrument schedule and channel hookup (CSV/XLSX), an open symbol pack drawn by us, a legend; classes from SU.912.

FeatureSU.874 Link to SU.874 Window and door builder for PVC and aluminium profile systems: cutting list, bar optimisation, glass sizes

Asked: a PVC and aluminium window builder (#874, Oct 20). Do: profile systems as data (frame, sash, mullion, bead with deductions), a window from an opening and its divisions, angle cut list, 1D bar optimisation on stock lengths, glass sizes, reinforcement and hardware list, labels through the shared lib/cutlist, elevation drawn. Profile data ours or from makers with permission.

FeatureSU.888 Link to SU.888 MEP: split, VRF and fan-coil equipment with refrigerant and condensate ports

Asked: an MEP modeller with fan coils, mono and multi split systems and ducts (#888, Oct 21). 3D MEP itself is built (LC.9, 0.7). Do: an equipment pack for the MEP add-on: wall, cassette and ducted indoor units, outdoor units, 2/4-pipe fan coils with ports (liquid, gas, condensate, water, duct), refnet joints, line sets sized from a table.

BimCraft Built · Live 3 MEP-REL From: site suggestion (Suggestion) docs/0.8-PART2.md (Track SX), from /admin/suggestions 2026-10-27
FeatureSU.892 Link to SU.892 Electrical add-on: wire harnesses and control-cabinet wiring

Asked: electrical CAD, harnessing, piping and instrumentation for factory design (#892, Oct 21). P&ID is LC.5's `pid` add-on (built 0.7). Do: wires with ids, colours and gauges between device terminals; a harness drawing with bundles, branches and lengths; wire list and connector tables; a cabinet panel layout with DIN rails and ducts.

FeatureSU.891 Link to SU.891 PartCraft simulation: contact between parts, nonlinear material, CalculiX export

Asked: a structural simulation tool like ANSYS, on open solvers such as CalculiX or Code_Aster (#891, Oct 21). Checked 2026-10-27: PartCraft solves static, modal, thermal, buckling and laminar flow on tets (sim.js). Do: bonded and frictionless contact between assembly parts, a bilinear elastic-plastic material with load steps, and export to CalculiX .inp with .frd results read back. Explicit dynamics is not planned.

FeatureSU.811 Link to SU.811 TakeoffCraft: an assistant that learns your takeoffs, on your computer only

Asked: AI that learns your work and gets more useful with each takeoff (#811, Oct 19). No trained model and no network (the owner's condition for 0.7 trace). Do: learn from what you accept: symbol templates from confirmed counts (autocount's matcher), "same as last job" condition sets, assemblies ranked by use, repeat a marked pattern on every page; all kept in the project, with a list of what it learned that you can clear.

FeatureSU.880 Link to SU.880 TakeoffCraft: click PDF linework to measure the whole path

Asked: select the vector linework in a PDF to make takeoffs quicker (#880, Oct 20). Snapping to PDF linework exists (snap.js). Do: a click on a line takes the whole connected path (segments chained at shared ends) as a length; a click inside a closed path takes it as an area; Shift adds, Tab cycles candidates.

FeatureSU.883 Link to SU.883 Text to diagram: Mermaid, PlantUML, D2 or a from-to list drawn as an editable CAD diagram

Asked (Japanese, #883, Oct 20): draw system, wiring and piping diagrams from Mermaid, PlantUML or D2 text or from-to data; later by language through MCP. Do: CadCraft pastes Mermaid flowcharts, a PlantUML subset, D2, or a from-to CSV and lays out blocks and orthogonal connectors (editable after); the same as an MCP tool `diagram_from_text` (Track AS); single-line and piping lists use the Electrical and `pid` symbols.

FeatureSU.889 Link to SU.889 Documents from the model: specification and description templates filled from IFC

Asked: a template system for project text documents connected to IFC for quantities, descriptions and calculations (#889, Oct 21). Do: templates (Markdown with fields like quantities by type, tag values, loops over elements) render a specification or description to PDF/DOCX from the open IFC; per-trade templates in the Library; reads SU.915's tags, no fields of its own.

BimCraft Built · Live 7 – From: site suggestion (Suggestion) docs/0.8-PART2.md (Track SX), from /admin/suggestions 2026-10-27
FeatureSU.747b Link to SU.747b NURBS surfaces, step S1: curves, untrimmed surfaces, measured continuity

Asked: concept-to-prototype NURBS and class-A surface modelling, large assemblies (#747, #748, #749, #750, Oct 16). The 0.7 spike SU.747 sized this (docs/spikes/SU.747.md): S1 = curves (degree, CVs, knots), untrimmed surfaces (loft, sweep, network, blend), measured G0–G2 continuity with PartCraft's zebra and curvature; its first 25 days don't touch the kernel. Trimming and the kernel half wait on D7.45's go/no-go.
