CadCraft Studio 0.8
The Great Eight: all eight apps are 0.8, with any AI you connect driving them, 54 languages and input devices. Downloads for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android; not code-signed. iPad and iPhone are sent to Apple for review.
CadCraft Studio 0.8 and its eight apps are here. The apps run free in your browser at /use, and Studio is the one desktop download. Your files stay on your computer.
The Great Eight
One jaw-drop per app, and any AI you connect can drive all of them.
- CadCraft finishes your thought: a ghost of what your own patterns say comes next, and Tab draws it.
- BimCraft answers questions about the building, and tests evacuation, room acoustics, floods and wind.
- ModelCraft sets up a scene you describe, and you choose the render engine.
- MarkupCraft turns markups into tasks that can close themselves when the drawing really changes.
- TakeoffCraft counts the whole set at once.
- CivilCraft rains on your grading.
- DetailCraft plays the crane picks as a movie.
- PartCraft sizes and stress-checks a part you describe.
Connect your AI
One connection reaches all eight apps, for any assistant that speaks MCP. You choose per app and per project whether it may only read, suggest, or edit, and the Studio hub shows "What your assistants did" in plain words.
In every app
Input devices (trackpad, pen, 3D mouse, controller, MIDI), toolbar rows and a property grid, a Problems panel that warns, calc sheets and design reasons, and 54 languages, ten of them new. The languages beyond English are machine drafts until a native speaker reads them. The language packs are public at github.com/getcadcraft/language-packs, and pack updates reach the apps without an app release.
Downloads
CadCraft Studio 0.8 for Windows (installer and portable zip), macOS (.dmg, universal), Linux (.deb and AppImage) and Android (APK) is on /download. iPad and iPhone: Studio 0.8 has been sent to Apple for review. It is not on the App Store yet; we will say when Apple approves it and it is live.
Said plainly
- 0.8 is not code-signed. Windows may warn you. The macOS build is ad hoc signed and not notarized, so macOS asks for right-click, then Open. The Windows and Linux builds have not been run on real machines yet.
- Studio 0.7 is not offered 0.8 automatically yet; download it from the page.
- Connect your AI has a "Still to come" list: more assistants on Windows and macOS, one-click connect from Studio, a hosted connector for browser AI, an API key in Studio, a published package and CLI, and directory listings.
The full list is on the roadmap.
