Some calculations are the same in every app, so they live in one panel instead of eight. Open Engines from the button in the bar at the top, or press ⌘KCtrl+K and type "engines".
Run one
- Choose an engine from the list: schematics, pipe networks and power systems, motion and robots, queues, schedule and cost, requirements, risk, live data, circuits, boards, systems or controls.
- Choose a worked example, or replace the text with your own model. Most engines read JSON; circuits, systems and controls read their own text (a circuit deck, Modelica, structured text).
- Press Run. The results come back as tables, with the engine's own problems above them and the limits of its method below.
Reset puts the example text back.
Things to know
- Everything runs in this page. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is saved in your file.
- Problems the engine finds also appear in the Problems panel, under their own source.
- The examples are small on purpose, with answers you can check by hand. They are a way to see what an engine does, not a design.
- The results are calculation aids. A person who is responsible for the design checks them.
