Tutorials BimCraft help Reference

Keys and mouse

Every key, mouse, trackpad and touch action in BimCraft, grouped by what you are looking at.

Written for BimCraft 0.3. The same help is inside the app: press F1.

BimCraft has few shortcuts. Most work is done with the mouse and the panels. Shortcuts written with ⌘Ctrl use Command on a Mac and Ctrl elsewhere. See Keys, mice and trackpads for how keys are written in this help.

Edit

The same commands are in the toolbar: Undo, Redo, Copy, Paste and the More menu, which shows each key. They work in the 3D view of an IFC model, not while you type in a field. See Copy, paste and duplicate library items.

KeyWhat it does
⌘ZCtrl+ZUndo the last change
⌘YCtrl+Y or ⇧⌘ZCtrl+Shift+ZRedo what Undo took back
⌘CCtrl+CCopy the picked element: a placed library item to paste again, any other element as text (its name and properties)
⌘VCtrl+VPaste the copied library item: it follows the pointer, click where it goes
⇧⌘VCtrl+Shift+VPaste in place: same X, Y and turn; beside the original when it is still on that storey
⌘DCtrl+DDuplicate: copy the picked library item and start pasting it
EscEscSelect none
⌘XCtrl+X, fn DeleteDelete, ⌘ACtrl+ACut, delete and select all are not built yet: the status line says so

When text is selected on the page, ⌘CCtrl+C copies that text as usual.
