Use BimCraft on a touch screen or tablet
Orbit, zoom and pick in the 3D model, pan and pinch a drawing, pick several elements, walk, and place items with your fingers.
Written for BimCraft 0.4. The same help is inside the app: press F1.
BimCraft works with fingers as well as with a mouse. The first time you touch the screen, buttons, tabs and list rows grow to finger size.
The 3D model

A pinch or a two-finger drag never picks anything, even when a finger lifts over an element.
Drawings (DWG and DXF)

In a drawing's 3D view, the model's gestures apply: one finger orbits, two pinch and pan, a tap picks, a long press adds to the pick.
Walk
Tap Walk, then tap the floor where you want to stand. A row of arrow buttons appears in the walk bar:
- Hold an arrow to walk forward, back, or step to the side.
- With Gravity off, the double arrows rise and sink.
- Drag one finger on the model to look round.
- Tap Done to stop.
Placing library items
Tap where the item goes. Turn 90° on the placing bar turns it (the RR key on a keyboard), Wall snap snaps its back to the nearest wall, and Stop placing ends.
Measure
Tap the first point, then the second. Points snap to corners and edges near your tap.
