Say in words what changed between two versions
Compare two versions of a drawing in History and get a plain list: where on the sheet, how big, what was added, removed or changed, and the words that changed.
Written for CadCraft 0.8. The same help is inside the app: press F1.
Open History, pick a version and choose Compare. Beside the marks on the drawing there is a button, List in words.
It groups the differences by where they are (objects within about two metres of each other are one place) and says each place in a sentence: "Near 5000, 1500 (2 m by 3 m): 3 lines added". Sizes are in the drawing's own units. Text that changed is quoted from and to; new and removed text is quoted too. Layers added or removed are listed.
The list is printed on the command line and copied, so you can paste it into an email, or to your own assistant to put in its own words. CadCraft does the grouping by rules on your computer; nothing is sent anywhere.
