Instructions documents
Turn views into step-by-step instructions: a cover page, one page per step with its picture, the parts it shows, notes, warnings and tools, and a parts list; saved as PDF or as one HTML page that prints well. Templates are files.
Written for PartCraft 0.7. The same help is inside the app: press F1.
Open the Instructions section and click Start instructions from the views: each view becomes a step, in the views' order.
For each step choose the View, a Title, the Picture (as the view looks, line art, flat colours or shaded), whether to List the parts this step shows, and type Notes, Warnings and Tools (one a line). Steps move up and down; Add step adds one from any view.
A cover page and A parts-list page at the end are on by default. Save as PDF writes the pages; Save as HTML writes one page that reads on a screen and prints one step a page.
Templates
The Template sets the paper, landscape or portrait, a logo (PNG or JPEG), the heading colour and a footer line. Save template writes it as a .partcraft-template.json file to use in other manuals with Use a template….
