Version 0.8

Eight apps. A bigger world to engineer.

The drawing was only the beginning. CadCraft Studio 0.8 and its eight apps reach toward connected design, calculations, checks, documentation and industry-specific workflows.

CadCraft Studio 0.8 is the version out now. A line on this page is printed only when the roadmap rows it rests on are built; work still in progress says how far it has come.

What can you do with the Great Eight?

Four ways into CadCraft Studio. Go as deep as your question needs.

How firms use Studio

Follow complete project workflows, from initial concept through final deliverables.

Explore workflows

Built for the work you do.

A building, a site, a machined part and a process plant need different deliverables from the same foundation. Pick your field.

Industries Engineering Platform and Field Packs

See it work

One project, start to finish, recorded in the real apps.

One release, one jaw-dropper for each app.

Each app gets the thing that makes you stop and look. Here is what is built.

CadCraft2D drafting & 3D modeling

The drawing that finishes your thought

Ghost geometry appears ahead of your cursor, like code completion: finish the stair, repeat the stud pattern, close the wall. Tab accepts it. They do not appear while you draw a line or polyline.

  • Pen sketches become precise geometry.
  • Sheets lay themselves out.
  • Moving a grid line carries the whole set with it.

BimCraftBIM review & editing

Talk to the building

Ask which walls are 2-hour, which rooms are under 70 square feet, what is above a ceiling; the answer is highlighted in 3D.

  • Room program to massing options.
  • Renovation phases.

ModelCraft3D modeling for design

Say the scene

Dusk, light rain, autumn trees, people on the plaza: one sentence sets the sun, sky, weather, trees and people.

  • A material from a photo.

CivilCraftCivil & site design

Make it rain

Drop a storm on your grading and watch the water flow, pond and overtop.

  • Earthwork balancer.
  • Best route across the terrain.

TakeoffCraftQuantity takeoff & estimating

The whole set counted at once

Every door, fixture and device in the legend counted across the entire PDF set in one run, each count one click from its sheet.

  • Price memory from your own jobs.

MarkupCraftDrawing review & markup

Open it and see

The same MarkupCraft you use today, with its 0.8 additions listed here as they are built.

  • What changed between revisions, in words.
  • Voice notes pinned on the plan.

DetailCraftSteel & rebar detailing

The crane-pick movie

Crane picks and sequence from your build phases, played as an animation the crew can watch on a phone.

  • Connection autopilot.
  • Rebar congestion map.

PartCraftParametric parts & assemblies

Describe it, get it

Give a load, a reach and a material in words: a generator is picked, sized and stress-checked, so the part comes back checked. Your connected AI can do it for you from one sentence.

  • Making cost as you design.

Bring your own AI. It drives all eight.

Studio is the hub. Connect the assistant you already use once, and it can reach every app, with you in charge of what it may change.

  • Plain function calling works through an OpenAPI description of the same tools.
  • You stay in charge: read only, suggest (edits arrive as a change set you accept or reject) or edit, per app and per project, with a plain-words log of what the AI read, ran and changed.
  • Skill packs and prompt starters for each app, your firm's own standards, and tools that tell the AI clearly what went wrong.
  • An Ask box in each app; your connected AI answers with the app's own tools.

Between the apps, and beyond them.

  • Live analysis while you edit, in PartCraft.
  • Break it.
  • A gravity dial: Earth, Moon, Mars, orbit.
  • Design studies with a trade-off chart.
  • Design reasons on every element.

And introducing SuperCad Studio

Sold separately, after the eight free apps

And one app that will rule them all.

SuperCad Studio puts every tool from the eight apps in one window, on the same files. It is a separate commercial product; the eight apps above stay free and open source.

$250 per seat, named seats, 3 years of free upgrades, commercial use.

Built around your requests.

We develop in short, open cycles. In the last version alone we worked 488 requests into the roadmap, and 126 of them were requests from the community.

Requests come from the Discord, the suggestion page and the roadmap, and each one is read, sorted and either built or answered.

Don't see what you need? Join our Discord and submit a suggestion.

Every model and drawing shown was made or opened in CadCraft's apps, and every picture is a real capture from them.
