List library credits and sign in to the library

See every library item used in a model with its license and attribution, copy the credits or download them with the schedule, and sign in to see your team's items.

Written for BimCraft 0.3. The same help is inside the app: press F1.

What you'll do

Give credit where a license asks for it, and reach your team's own library items.

Library credits

  1. Open the model.
  2. Click Credits in the toolbar.
  3. Read the list: each item used, its version, license, attribution and the item numbers it is placed as.
  4. Click Copy credits to copy the attribution lines, or CSV with the schedule for a spreadsheet of every placement with its credit.

The license and attribution also show in Properties when you pick a placed item, and they are saved in the IFC (CadCraft_LibraryItem), so they travel with the file.

The equipment schedule of a model

Click Equipment in the toolbar. The schedule is built from the placed library items: item number, quantity, name, maker, model, electrical and plumbing data, grouped by storey. It downloads as the same CSV a drawing's schedule does.

Sign in to the library

  1. In the Library tab, pick LibraryCraft.
  2. Click Sign in to the library. A small window opens on this site.
  3. Sign in if asked, then click Connect. The window hands BimCraft a library key and you can close it.

What you should see

  • "Signed in to the library" at the top of the LibraryCraft list. Your team's items appear beside the public ones.
  • Items you place are recorded as used, so the library can tell you when they change.

Good to know

  • The key is kept in this tab only and ends when you close it. Forget sign-in drops it sooner.
  • Your account's security page lists the key as "BimCraft library (browser)"; revoke it there.
  • Nothing about your model is sent: only which library items you placed.
